Germany and the Arab world have traditionally maintained very good relations. This also includes the business sector.

In the course of the globalization of markets and despite all the challenges of recent times, the Arab world is and remains a market with great potential for business development. The purchasing power and consumer spending of the approximately 360 million inhabitants of the Arab countries are rising continuously. With a population half of which is under 25 years old and which will almost double by the year 2050, infrastructure and industrial projects are the main focus in addition to investments in the education and health sectors. According to forecasts, the ambitious investment plans of the Arab Gulf states will drive forward major projects worth USD 898 billion in the construction sector alone by 2020.

For German companies, diversification and modernization projects in the Arab world represent enormous business potential that needs to be tapped.
